.. is good news... isn't it?
frankly , we haven't a clue.
it seems odd that after such drama of the
last six weeks that things have settled into a
dull damp rhythm of hospital tests and
too much detail debris and
calming others fears
and back to the basics.
but we are moving thru the days with
no idea whether terror and end of planet planning is in order
or just adjusting to the next thing which will
lead to the next thing
which will lead to the next.
t is in good spirits, a little tired
a little pissed to have to be doing all this shit
when he'd much rather just snooze but
he is dutifully leaving bits of himself in various labs
and x ray machines around the west side
i am wrangling with insurance people and
setting up agreements that may be moot
looking for more teaching hours to bank against
the coming cuts at Cal State --my savior in the health insurance world
the last months and now not sure how long they can sustain my job--(YIKES)
ideas welcome!
sofie is pulling up her grades and
doing the good stuff of being a junior in high school.
and we enjoyed a major frenzy of cousins and food this weekend again.
and life is good and bad and all the things it is for all of us.
there are a few glitches in some tests
and there will be a few adjustments here and there i suppose
but the adrenalin of making it to the next 30 seconds seems to have eased
for today.
tony is dreaming his dreams again
i believe there was pink and purple pee-ing in the snow
the other night, while holding umbrellas at a jaunty angle
for two japanese dancers
dressed in the same pink and purple colors-- candy stripers, oooh.
and last night leaning against a juke box in his dreams singing
"i'd like to go to heaven just not right now"
with the appropriate twang..
and isn't that just exactly where we all are?
stay tuned for more drama but today we are on easy listening
and trying to get some rest.
xxoo

moving thru the days. . .
with . . . terror . . and . . .
adjusting to the next thing. . .
back to the basics.

pardon the paraphrase-
mk
The song I was describing to T was Prop Me Up....
"I want to go to Heaven, but I don't want to go tonight..."
